BRAND BACKGROUND

"The luxury formalwear brand born from a bespoke sewing factory established in 1963.”

MUNETAKA YOKOYAMA carries on the legacy of a 61-year-old bespoke sewing factory with a heritage of unparalleled craftsmanship, specializing in high-end tailor-made suits and formalwear. For decades, the factory has been trusted by Japan’s leading department stores and luxury hotels.

In 2008, MUNETAKA YOKOYAMA expanded into Tokyo’s fashion hub, Minami Aoyama, with the launch of Atelier ROSSO NERO, now regarded as Japan's finest formalwear & tuxedo brand.

By incorporating kimono fabric, a symbol of Japan's rich cultural heritage, into modern formalwear, the brand has gained acclaim among celebrities and show business elites.  In 2018, the Japan Formalwear Culture Association was established to preserve and evolve traditional Japanese culture and industry.

MUNETAKA YOKOYAMA now strives to bring Japanese craftsmanship and formalwear culture to the global stage, redefining luxury formalwear with elegance, tradition, and innovation.
